Get Your Irish On with this YUMMY Recipe Featuring Hank’s Irish Style Ginger Ale

This recipe provided by Liv (the popular LivCakes77 on TikTok) combines some amazing flavors for a tasty dish perfect to celebrate St. Patrick’s Day (or any other day for that matter)!

Hank’s Irish Style Ginger Ale Orange Wings

Ingredients:

For the chicken

1.5 pounds chicken tenders
1 cup half and half
2 eggs
1 tbsp salt
1/2 tsp black pepper
1/4 tsp chili powder (optional)
1/4 cup Hank’s Irish Style Ginger Ale
2 cups flour
2 tbsp salt
Oil for frying (canola or vegetable)

For the Sauce 

3/4 cup hoisin sauce
1/2 cup orange juice
1/2 cup Hank’s Irish Style Ginger Ale
Zest of half an orange
2 tsp grated ginger
2 tsp soy sauce
1/2 tsp black pepper
3 tbsp brown sugar
2 tsp olive oil
1 tbsp minced garlic

Directions:

  1. Cut chicken tenders into nugget sized pieces and set aside. Meanwhile, begin heating your oil in a pan.
  2. Combine half and half, eggs, salt, pepper, chili powder (for spice), and Hank’s Ginger Ale* and pour over chicken.
  3. Toss chicken in flour and salt mixture until each piece of chicken is evenly coated. For extra crispy chicken, repeat steps another time.
  4. Fry chicken until golden and crispy.
  5. Remove chicken from oil, place on a plate lined with food safe paper towels to drain excess oil. Set aside.
  6. For the sauce, combine all ingredients expect the olive oil and minced garlic and stir to combine.
  7. In a sauce pan, sauté minced garlic in olive oil.
  8. Once garlic has begun to golden, pour in sauce mixture and stir.
  9. Cook until the sauce has thickened.
  10. Toss chicken in sauce and enjoy!
